A facelift surgery or rhytidectomy is a cosmetic surgery procedure used to reduce the signs of aging and facial wrinkles, aiming to improve the overall appearance of a person’s face. Facelift surgery can be done to reverse the effects of stress, time and other elements that come with aging. The procedure involves removal of excess facial skin, with or without the tightening of underlying tissues, and the re-draping of the skin on the patient's face and neck.

The various types of Facelift surgeries are:

• Short Scar Facelift

Short scar facelift, popularly known as mini facelift, is the least invasive face-lift surgery that offers a temporary solution to facial ageing. Under this procedure, incisions are made from the hairline around the ear. The short scar facelift surgery is used to reposition the skin and soft tissues of the face and is often performed with an endoscope making the procedure less invasive and reducing the recovery time.

• Mid Face-Lift

The mid facelift procedure requires multiple small incisions  to be made along the hairline and inside the mouth to lift or reposition the fatty tissue layer in the affected areas of face and the procedure doesn’t leave any scars as well. The procedure is carried out to improve nose-to-mouth lines and roundness over the cheekbones providing with a more youthful appearance to the patient.

• Thread Lift or Feather Lift

A thread lift or feather lift is a less invasive surgical option popular among people seeking minimal improvements to treat sagging or laxity in the forehead, eye area and nasolabial folds. The procedure is performed under general anesthesia making use of a barb suture technique. The procedure doesn’t involve tightening of skin thus is not suitable for people having loose skin.

• MACS Facelift

MACS (Minimal Access Cranial Suspension) facelift surgery helps removing deep creases around the chin or appearing between nose and mouth and also restoring the outline of the jaw. The procedure lift and hold up sagging tissues in the neck, chin, cheeks or near the nose with suspension sutures in the deeper tissues.

• Endoscopic Facelift

Under endoscopic facelift surgery, a number of small incisions are made above the hairline or behind the ear from where surgical instruments are then introduced to remove excess fatty tissues and to reshape facial muscles which have loosened over time.
